Steam Pumpkin with Pork Ribs


Ingredients :

Small pumpkin  1
Pork ribs  300g
Minced garlic  2 tablespoons
Soy sauce  1 tablespoon
Dark soy sauce  2/3 tablespoon 
Oyster sauce  2 tablespoons 
Rice wine  1 tablespoon 
Cornstarch  2 tablespoons 
Dried chili peppers (optional)  2


  1. Wash the pumpkin, cut off the top 1/3, scrape out the seeds, and cut the flesh in a criss-cross pattern.
  2. Wash the pork ribs and pat them dry. Marinate the pork ribs with all the marinade ingredients for 15 minutes.
  3. Place the pork ribs inside the pumpkin.
  4. Place a steaming rack in the electric pressure cooker and add water up to the "STEAM" water level mark.
  5. Place the pumpkin in a steaming bowl and put it in the electric pressure cooker. Close the lid.
  6. Press the "Function" button and select the "Quick Steam" function.
  7. Press the "Timing" button and set the cooking time to 18 minutes.
  8. Press “Texture” to select the "Over Cook" texture option (optional, it can make the pumpkin softer). Start cooking.
  9. After cooking, remove the food from the pressure cooker and serve.
