Tangerine Peel Lily Lotus Seed Red Bean Paste


Ingredients :

Red beans  200g
Lily bulbs  20g
Lotus seeds  40g
Dried tangerine peel  1 piece
Water  1 liter
Rock sugar  1 piece
Granulated sugar  30g


  1. Soak the lotus seeds and dried tangerine peel until they are softened. Remove the core from the lotus seeds and scrape the pith from the dried tangerine peel using a spoon.
  2. Place all the ingredients in an electric pressure cooker and add water until it reaches the "Rice" water level 4. Close the lid.
  3. Press “Function” to select the "Beans/Ribs" function on the pressure cooker.
  4. Press “Timing” to set the cooking time to 35 minutes.
  5. Press “Texture” to select the "Over Cook" texture option to make the red beans softer and creamier. Press "Start" to begin cooking.
  6. Once the cooking is complete, stir the ingredients well and serve.


  1. Remove the core from the lotus seeds as it can be bitter in taste.
  2. Scrape the pith from the dried tangerine peel as it can also contribute to a bitter taste.
  3. Beans will expand during cooking, so leave some space in the pressure cooker. The total volume of all ingredients, including water, should not exceed the "Rice" water level 9 in the pressure cooker.
  4. When cooking bean-based dishes, use natural pressure release to prevent beans and water from escaping through the pressure release valve, which can be dangerous.
